Series IV

 As the legend goes, “Little Joe” Washington was looking to stand out on the field and decided to spray paint his shoes silver and laces red before the Kansas State vs. Sooners home game of October 28th. 1972, where Oklahoma won in an outstanding fashion 52-0.     After the game, Offensive coach Barry Switzer noticed the shoes while watching the game replay videos and asked Joe about them, which Washington responded they were his “silver shoes” which made him look faster on the field, from that moment forward Joe “Silver shoes” Washington painted his shoes before every game.     

To commemorate that strike of lighting and uniqueness that characterizes Joe’s persona. The Smoke thru the Keyhole “Silver Shoes 50th Anniversary” Signature series IV had to stand out in the crowd and needed the smoothness to move thru your senses and the strength to bring it home.     

Master Blender Leandro Compres, which can be recognized by his long tenure as Avo Uvezian’s personal roller during his Cigar world tours and of course our Smoke Thru the Keyhole Signature series II, had a card up his sleeve for this Anniversary cigar. These 3 year old Olor Dominicano Viso and Piloto Cubano ligeros bring in the element of strength and La Delgada Region tobaccos keep combustion and balance wrapped in a 4 year old aged Dark Habano Wrapper, which sums up to a Medium strength, silky smooth, earthy cigar with floral, leather and coffee notes, truly our most complex cigar yet.
